Website Terms of Use

Use the site. Know the terms.

These Terms of Use explain the rules that apply when you visit, access, or use the Love Well Spent website and its online resources.

Effective September 2026
Website Love Well Spent
Applies to lovewellspent.org

The short version

Our website exists to help people connect with the work.

Love Well Spent, Inc. provides this website to share information about our mission, programs, services, resources, donation opportunities, volunteer opportunities, partnerships, and other organizational activities.

We ask visitors to use the site lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that does not interfere with the people, systems, or programs behind it.

Some programs and services have their own terms. When additional terms apply, those terms work together with these Website Terms of Use.

By using the website, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, please do not use the website. Participation in a specific Love Well Spent program or service may also require agreement to additional terms, policies, acknowledgments, or eligibility requirements.

One website. Different programs.

Website use, donations, the Digital Access Grant, and ConnectWell do not all operate under exactly the same terms. Where specific program terms apply, we will identify them.

01

Acceptance of These Terms

These Website Terms of Use govern access to and use of websites, webpages, forms, resources, and other online content operated by Love Well Spent, Inc. that link to or reference these terms.

By accessing or using the website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use and any additional terms or policies that apply to a particular feature, transaction, program, or service.

02

Who May Use the Website

The Love Well Spent website is intended for lawful use by individuals seeking information about our organization, programs, services, giving opportunities, resources, or ways to participate in our work.

Some applications, donations, transactions, services, or other activities may require you to be at least 18 years old or to have the involvement or authorization of a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult.

Information about children

General website forms and program applications requesting information about a minor are intended to be completed by a parent, legal guardian, educator, or other authorized adult where appropriate.

03

Website Information

We work to keep information on the Love Well Spent website useful and reasonably current. However, programs, resources, eligibility requirements, partners, inventory, pricing, availability, waitlists, funding, timelines, and other circumstances may change.

Website content is provided for general informational purposes unless we specifically state otherwise.

Information appearing on the website does not by itself create a guarantee, contractual right, entitlement to assistance, or promise that a particular resource, device, service, grant, connection, or outcome will be available.

If information on a program-specific application, agreement, checkout page, or terms page conflicts with general informational website copy, the more specific applicable terms will control for that program or transaction.

04

Programs, Applications & Eligibility

Love Well Spent operates programs and initiatives that may have separate eligibility requirements, application processes, waitlists, availability limitations, fees, fulfillment methods, partner requirements, or other terms.

Submitting an application or request does not automatically mean that an applicant has been approved, selected, funded, enrolled, matched with a partner, or guaranteed a device, service, grant, or other resource.

Love Well Spent may review information submitted through an application and may request additional information when reasonably necessary to administer a program.

Program fulfillment may depend on factors such as:

  • eligibility;
  • demonstrated need;
  • available funding;
  • device or equipment inventory;
  • service availability;
  • geographic coverage;
  • partner availability;
  • program capacity;
  • urgency or prioritization criteria; and
  • other legitimate program considerations.

Additional terms may apply to the Digital Access Grant, ConnectWell, service-learning programs, workshops, or other Love Well Spent initiatives.

05

Donations & Charitable Giving

The website may provide opportunities to make financial contributions, donate technology or property, participate in workplace giving, or otherwise support Love Well Spent.

Financial transactions may be processed by third-party payment processors or workplace-giving platforms.

Additional Donation Terms may apply to charitable contributions, including recurring donations, designated gifts, donated technology, receipts, errors, and refund requests.

A statement describing the intended impact of a particular gift level is intended to explain how donations support our charitable work. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not constitute a contractual promise that the exact amount donated will correspond to an identical expense in every individual case.

06

Acceptable Use

You may use the website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You may not knowingly use the website to:

  • violate applicable law or another person's rights;
  • submit fraudulent, intentionally false, misleading, or deceptive information;
  • impersonate another person or organization;
  • attempt to obtain unauthorized access to accounts or systems;

07

Information You Submit

When you submit information through a Love Well Spent form, application, contact request, donation form, survey, feedback form, or other website feature, you are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You should not intentionally submit information you do not have the right or authority to provide.

By submitting information, you authorize Love Well Spent to use and process it as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was submitted and as described in our Privacy Policy and any applicable program terms.

Submitting a story is not the same as publishing it.

Personal circumstances shared in a program application do not automatically give Love Well Spent permission to publicly identify a family, child, or applicant in fundraising, marketing, or storytelling.

You may view, link to, and share public webpages for personal, educational, charitable, or informational purposes in ways that accurately represent Love Well Spent and do not imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

You may not reproduce, sell, license, materially modify, commercially exploit, or falsely claim ownership of Love Well Spent content without permission where permission is required.

Third-party names, trademarks, photographs, content, and materials appearing on the website remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

Third-party websites and services may have their own terms, privacy policies, eligibility requirements, fees, security practices, and operating procedures.

A link to a third-party website does not necessarily mean that Love Well Spent controls, guarantees, or endorses all content, products, services, statements, or practices of that third party.

Information on this website is not intended as legal, medical, financial, mental-health, tax, or other professional advice.

You should seek appropriate professional advice when your circumstances require it.

Program information is not a guarantee of assistance.

Descriptions of Love Well Spent programs, resources, partnerships, campaigns, waitlists, or impact do not guarantee that a particular person will receive a device, service, grant, connection, financial benefit, or other specific outcome.

13

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Love Well Spent and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from or relating to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the general informational content of this website.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Additional liability provisions may apply to specific services or transactions under their separate terms.

14

Responsibility for Your Use

You are responsible for your own use of the website and for information or material you knowingly submit through it.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, intentional violation of these terms, infringement of another person's rights, or fraudulent information you knowingly submit.

15

Restricting or Terminating Access

Love Well Spent may restrict or block access to website features when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect the website, participants, staff, volunteers, systems, programs, or other users.

We may also take appropriate action when we reasonably believe someone is using the website fraudulently, unlawfully, or in material violation of these terms.

16

Governing Law

These Website Terms of Use will be interpreted in accordance with applicable law.

Any governing-law, venue, dispute-resolution, or similar provision that Love Well Spent adopts should reflect the organization's legal domicile and applicable requirements.

Legal review recommended

Love Well Spent should have legal counsel confirm the appropriate governing-law and venue language before adding a state-specific forum requirement to these terms.

17

Love Well Spent may update these Terms of Use as our website, programs, technology, services, partnerships, or legal requirements change.

When the terms are updated, we will revise the effective or last-updated date displayed on this page.
