Accessibility Statement

Access should include the way people access us.

Love Well Spent is committed to making our website, communications, programs, and services as accessible and usable as reasonably possible for people with disabilities.

Organization Love Well Spent, Inc.

Our commitment

Access is part of the work.

Love Well Spent serves families, learners, educators, donors, volunteers, and community partners with different abilities, access needs, devices, technologies, and ways of interacting with information.

We are working to make our digital and program experiences understandable, navigable, and usable by as many people as reasonably possible.

Accessibility is an ongoing practice. We may not get everything right immediately, but we want people to be able to tell us when something creates a barrier.

If the format is the barrier, we'll look for another way.

When reasonably possible, Love Well Spent will work with individuals who experience accessibility barriers to identify an alternative way to access information, complete a process, participate in a program, or communicate with us.

Tell us what would help.

Accessibility needs can be different from person to person. A specific request helps us understand the barrier and what an effective solution might look like.

01

Purpose

This Accessibility Statement explains Love Well Spent's commitment to reducing barriers that may prevent people with disabilities from accessing our website, information, programs, services, activities, or communications.

Our goal is to provide reasonable access while continually improving how accessibility is considered in our technology, content, programs, and operations.

02

Digital Accessibility

Love Well Spent works to improve the accessibility and usability of lovewellspent.org and other digital materials we control.

This may include efforts to improve:

  • keyboard navigation;
  • heading structure;
  • link clarity;
  • text contrast;
  • readable font sizes;
  • alternative text for meaningful images;
  • form labels and instructions;
  • focus visibility;
  • mobile usability;
  • content readability;
  • video captions or transcripts where appropriate; and
  • compatibility with common assistive technologies.
03

What We Aim For

Love Well Spent aims to follow widely recognized accessibility practices when developing and maintaining digital content.

Where reasonably applicable, we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference for improving accessibility and usability.

Accessibility is a process, not a checkbox.

We do not represent that every page, third-party tool, document, or feature will always meet every accessibility guideline. We use accessibility standards as a framework for identifying and reducing barriers over time.

04

Third-Party Websites, Forms & Services

Some parts of the Love Well Spent experience rely on technology operated by third parties.

These may include payment processors, online forms, workplace-giving platforms, internet-service partners, embedded tools, social platforms, or other external systems.

Love Well Spent does not control every aspect of a third-party service's accessibility.

If a third-party tool creates a barrier while you are trying to interact with Love Well Spent, contact us and we will consider whether another reasonable method is available.

05

Programs, Services & Activities

Accessibility is not limited to the website.

Love Well Spent also seeks to consider accessibility in:

  • Digital Access Grant communications and processes;
  • ConnectWell communications and service interactions;
  • service-learning activities;
  • educator workshops;
  • volunteer opportunities;
  • community events;
  • meetings and presentations;
  • forms and applications;
  • educational resources; and
  • other Love Well Spent activities.

The accommodation that is reasonable or available may depend on the nature of the activity, technology involved, safety, available resources, location, program requirements, and other circumstances.

06

Requests for Accommodation

If you need a reasonable accommodation or modification to access a Love Well Spent program, activity, communication, or process, please contact us.

It is helpful to tell us:

  • what you are trying to access or participate in;
  • the barrier you are experiencing;
  • the accommodation or alternative format you are requesting;
  • any relevant deadline or program date; and
  • how we should contact you.

You do not need to provide unnecessary medical details. We may ask for enough information to understand the requested accommodation and determine an appropriate response.

Ask early when timing matters.

If an accommodation is needed for a scheduled workshop, event, meeting, application deadline, or other time-sensitive activity, contacting us in advance gives us more time to work on an appropriate solution.

07

Documents & Alternative Formats

Some documents, downloadable resources, PDFs, presentations, or archived materials may not be fully accessible in every format.

If you encounter a document you cannot reasonably access, contact us and identify the document or information you need.

When reasonably possible, Love Well Spent may provide the information in another format, such as:

  • accessible digital text;
  • plain-text content;
  • an alternative document format;
  • a summary or transcription;
  • information by email;
  • information by phone; or
  • another reasonable method appropriate to the request.
08

Reporting an Accessibility Barrier

If you have difficulty using the Love Well Spent website or accessing one of our programs or materials because of an accessibility barrier, we want to know.

Please contact us through our Contact Us page.

When reporting a website issue, it is helpful to include:

  • the page or feature involved;
  • what you were trying to do;
  • what happened;
  • the device or browser you were using, if relevant;
  • the assistive technology involved, if you wish to share it; and
  • how we can contact you about the issue.
09

How We Respond

Love Well Spent will review accessibility concerns in a manner appropriate to the issue reported.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • provide the information another way;
  • help complete a process through an alternative method;
  • correct website content or markup;
  • modify a document;
  • work with a third-party provider;
  • consider a reasonable program accommodation;
  • add clarification or instructions;
  • include the issue in future accessibility improvements; or
  • take another reasonable action appropriate to the barrier.
10

Limitations

Love Well Spent is committed to accessibility, but some barriers may involve technology, content, platforms, partner systems, or circumstances we do not fully control.

An accommodation request may also be affected by factors such as technical feasibility, safety, the essential requirements of a program or role, third-party limitations, available resources, timing, or applicable law.

When we cannot provide the exact accommodation requested, we will consider whether another reasonable option may address the barrier.

11

Ongoing Review

Love Well Spent may review and update this Accessibility Statement as our website, technology, programs, partners, and accessibility practices change.

We may also use accessibility feedback to identify areas for future improvement.

The effective or last-updated date displayed on this page reflects the most recent revision.

Found a barrier?

Tell us what you were trying to access.

If something on our website, in a document, or in one of our programs is difficult to access because of a disability, contact us. We will review the issue and look for a reasonable way forward.

This Accessibility Statement describes Love Well Spent's general accessibility practices and goals. Accessibility obligations and reasonable accommodation requirements may vary depending on the activity, technology, program, jurisdiction, and applicable law.
