Digital Access Grant

One application. Clear expectations.

These Program Terms explain how Love Well Spent's Digital Access Grant works, how applications are reviewed, how families may be prioritized, and what applicants should expect while waiting for technology.

Effective September 2026
Program Digital Access Grant
Program operator Love Well Spent, Inc.

Before you apply

The Digital Access Grant is a connection program—not a promise of inventory.

Love Well Spent created the Digital Access Grant to help homeschool families overcome barriers to technology needed for learning.

We work to connect eligible families with laptops and other technology through Love Well Spent resources, donated devices, funding, fulfillment partners, technology partners, and other available pathways.

Because the resources available to us change, applying does not guarantee that a device will be available or establish a specific delivery date.

Applying puts your family in the pool. It does not guarantee a device.

Love Well Spent receives more requests for technology than we can fulfill immediately. Applications remain subject to eligibility, available resources, prioritization, geographic fulfillment options, and other program considerations.

You do not need to keep reapplying.

Unless Love Well Spent asks you to submit a new application or update your information, one application is enough.

01

Program Purpose

The Love Well Spent Digital Access Grant helps reduce technology barriers for homeschool learners and families who need access to appropriate technology for education.

The program may connect families with laptops, computers, tablets, or other technology resources depending on current program capacity, available inventory, funding, donations, and partner resources.

The Digital Access Grant is a charitable assistance program. It is not a government entitlement or guaranteed public benefit.

02

Eligibility

The Digital Access Grant is intended for homeschool families experiencing a meaningful barrier to technology needed for learning.

Love Well Spent may consider factors such as:

  • whether the household includes homeschool learners;
  • the technology currently available to the household;
  • the number of learners sharing available devices;
  • broken, outdated, or unavailable technology;
  • financial hardship;
  • accessibility or special educational needs;
  • medical or disability-related circumstances;
  • family loss or significant disruption;
  • housing or safety instability;
  • other barriers affecting access to learning; and
  • the availability of an appropriate fulfillment pathway.

Meeting general eligibility criteria does not guarantee approval, selection, funding, or fulfillment.

03

Submitting an Application

A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult should submit the Digital Access Grant application on behalf of the household.

Applicants should provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge.

Apply once.

Submitting duplicate applications does not improve a family's position or increase the likelihood of receiving a device. Unless Love Well Spent asks you to reapply or submit an update, one application is sufficient.

Love Well Spent may contact an applicant for clarification, updated information, verification, or additional information reasonably needed to administer the program.

04

Application Review

After an application is received, Love Well Spent may review the information provided to understand the household's technology need and determine whether there may be an appropriate fulfillment pathway.

Receiving an application confirmation means that Love Well Spent has received the application. It does not mean the application has been approved or that a device has been reserved.

Love Well Spent may review applications as resources become available rather than strictly in the order applications were submitted.

05

Prioritization

The Digital Access Grant is not necessarily fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.

When resources are limited, Love Well Spent may prioritize families experiencing more urgent or significant barriers.

Prioritization may consider circumstances such as:

  • multiple learners sharing one device;
  • no usable computer in the household;
  • a broken or unusable primary learning device;
  • special educational or accessibility needs;
  • serious illness or medical circumstances;
  • disability or reduced household income;
  • family loss or major disruption;
  • housing instability or safety-related circumstances;
  • significant financial hardship; and
  • other circumstances affecting access to education.

Prioritization also depends on whether Love Well Spent has a resource or fulfillment pathway that can appropriately serve the household.

06

Applicant Pool & Waiting

Love Well Spent receives more requests for technology than available resources can immediately support.

An applicant may therefore remain in the broader Digital Access Grant applicant pool while Love Well Spent seeks funding, donated technology, inventory, or an appropriate partner pathway.

There is no guaranteed wait time.

Love Well Spent cannot promise that a device will become available within a particular number of days, weeks, or months. Some applicants may be matched sooner than others because needs, inventory, geography, partner coverage, device requirements, and available resources differ.

Remaining in the applicant pool does not guarantee eventual fulfillment.

07

How Fulfillment Works

Love Well Spent may fulfill Digital Access Grant requests through different pathways.

Depending on availability, a family may receive assistance through:

  • technology owned or acquired by Love Well Spent;
  • devices donated to Love Well Spent;
  • devices purchased with charitable funding;
  • a technology donation partner;
  • a nonprofit device-refurbishment or distribution partner;
  • a local or regional fulfillment organization;
  • a corporate technology partner; or
  • another appropriate charitable fulfillment pathway.

Not every pathway is available in every state or community. Love Well Spent may determine which available pathway is most appropriate for a particular application.

08

Program & Fulfillment Partners

Love Well Spent may work with independent nonprofit, corporate, technology, shipping, refurbishment, or other partners to help fulfill Digital Access Grant requests.

Partner eligibility requirements, geographic service areas, inventory, processes, device specifications, documentation requirements, and timelines may differ.

A family that is not eligible for or cannot be served by one partner may still remain in Love Well Spent's broader Digital Access Grant applicant pool when appropriate.

One partner is not the whole program.

Being outside a particular partner's service area does not automatically make a family ineligible for the Digital Access Grant. Love Well Spent may continue seeking another appropriate fulfillment pathway.

Love Well Spent does not control the independent operations, inventory, policies, or decisions of third-party partners.

09

Devices & Equipment

Devices provided through the Digital Access Grant may be new, refurbished, donated, previously used, purchased, partner-provided, or otherwise appropriately sourced.

Device brand, model, age, operating system, storage, appearance, accessories, specifications, and other characteristics may vary depending on what is available.

Love Well Spent cannot guarantee a particular:

  • brand;
  • model;
  • screen size;
  • processor;
  • storage capacity;
  • color;
  • operating system;
  • device age; or
  • other specification.

We seek to connect families with technology that is reasonably appropriate for the intended educational use, but availability ultimately depends on the resources accessible to the program.

Any warranty, technical-support, return, repair, or replacement terms may depend on how the device was sourced and whether a third-party provider offers those services.

10

Delivery, Shipping & Timing

Love Well Spent does not guarantee a specific delivery or fulfillment date unless one is expressly confirmed for a particular fulfillment.

Timing may depend on:

  • device availability;
  • funding;
  • donation timing;
  • partner processing;
  • shipping;
  • inventory;
  • applicant responsiveness;
  • address verification; and
  • other circumstances outside Love Well Spent's control.

If Love Well Spent contacts an applicant about a possible fulfillment opportunity, the applicant may need to respond within a reasonable timeframe so that the opportunity can be coordinated.

11

Changes in Your Circumstances

Applicants may contact Love Well Spent if important information changes after an application is submitted.

Examples may include:

  • a change in mailing or shipping address;
  • a change in contact information;
  • a significant change in the household's technology need;
  • receiving a device from another source;
  • a change affecting accessibility needs; or
  • another material change relevant to fulfillment.

Applicants do not need to submit a new application simply to communicate an update unless Love Well Spent specifically requests one.

12

Accuracy & Program Integrity

Applicants are expected to provide information that is truthful and accurate to the best of their knowledge.

Love Well Spent understands that circumstances change and that people may make ordinary mistakes when completing an application. Applicants may contact us to correct or update information.

However, intentionally providing materially false, fraudulent, or deceptive information may result in an application being removed from consideration, a fulfillment opportunity being withdrawn, or other appropriate action.

13

Privacy & Applicant Information

Digital Access Grant applications may contain personal and sensitive information about families and children.

Love Well Spent uses application information for legitimate purposes such as program review, prioritization, communication, fulfillment, referrals, impact measurement, safeguarding, reporting, fraud prevention, and program administration.

Information may be shared with a fulfillment or program partner when reasonably necessary to evaluate or complete a potential fulfillment pathway, subject to applicable privacy practices and requirements.

Additional information about how Love Well Spent handles personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.

14

Stories, Photographs & Publicity

Applying for or receiving assistance through the Digital Access Grant does not require a family to publicly share its story.

Information submitted to explain a family's circumstances is not automatically permission for Love Well Spent to publicly identify that family or child.

When Love Well Spent wants to use identifying photographs, video, testimonials, names, or personal stories publicly, we will seek appropriate permission.

Help is not conditional on publicity.

A family should not have to trade its privacy for assistance. Declining a public testimonial, photograph, or story does not by itself make a family ineligible for the Digital Access Grant.

15

Seeking Help From Other Sources

Applicants are free to seek technology assistance from other organizations while their Digital Access Grant application remains under consideration.

Applying to Love Well Spent does not create an exclusive relationship and does not prevent a family from accepting appropriate assistance elsewhere.

If a household's need is resolved through another source, we appreciate being notified so we can keep program information current.

16

Program Changes

Love Well Spent may modify the Digital Access Grant as funding, technology, partnerships, demand, program capacity, or organizational priorities change.

This may include changes to eligibility criteria, prioritization practices, application questions, fulfillment pathways, available resources, geographic coverage, program procedures, or these Program Terms.

Love Well Spent may also pause applications or fulfillment when reasonably necessary because of capacity, funding, inventory, program redesign, safety, legal requirements, or other operational circumstances.

Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the effective or last-updated date published on this page.
